Important Notice for Our Students Whose Maximum Study Period Expires as of the End of the 2024–2025 Spring Semester

Pursuant to Article 44/c of Law No. 2547, students who have completed the maximum 7-year study period as of the end of the 2024–2025 Spring Semester may benefit from the additional exam rights, provided that they apply to our Faculty with a petition by the end of working hours on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. (Click here for the Petition)

  • Additional Exam 1: September 2, 2025

  • Additional Exam 2: September 8–9, 2025

Note: This announcement serves as an official notification, and no further notices will be issued.

According to Article 44/c of Law No. 2547 and the letter of the Council of Higher Education dated 06.07.2023 and numbered 45249:

  • Students who, after the additional exams (regardless of whether they use this right), still have more than five failed and/or unattempted courses will be dismissed.

  • Students who reduce their failed/unattempted courses to five or fewer after the additional exams will be granted additional registration periods depending on the number of remaining courses.

    • Those who reduce the number of failed/unattempted courses to five after the exams will be granted three semesters for these courses.

    • Those who, without taking the additional exams, already have up to five failed/unattempted courses will be granted four semesters.

    • Those who have only one failed/unattempted course will be allowed to take unlimited exams for that course without student rights.

For these courses, attendance is not required except for practical, practice-based, or previously unattempted courses. Students are required to pay the tuition/fee per course they take the exam for.

This is an important announcement for the concerned students.
