BEU FACULTY OF THEOLOGY EXAM APPLICATION PRINCIPLES
Examination Implementation Guidelines of ZBEÜ Faculty of Theology
Every student participating in the exam is required to carry the student identification card issued by ZBEÜ and, when requested, a photo ID (national ID card, driver’s license, or passport). Students must be present in the examination room on time to allow for identity checks and seating arrangements.
Students are prohibited from bringing anything into the examination room other than a pen, eraser, pencil sharpener, and water. Items such as mobile phones, cameras, video recorders, handheld computers, pagers, walkie-talkies, watches with functions other than timekeeping, and any kind of electronic device with computer-like capabilities are strictly forbidden. No items other than exam materials may be kept on or inside the desks during the exam.
Students must comply with all instructions given by the exam invigilators. Invigilators have the authority to change students' seating or the time they leave the examination room if deemed necessary.
Students may not leave the exam room during the first 15 minutes of the exam and are not allowed to enter the room after the first 15 minutes. A student who leaves the examination room for any reason is not allowed to re-enter.
During the exam, students are strictly prohibited from talking to each other, cheating, assisting others in cheating, exchanging items like pens or erasers, or engaging in any behavior that may disturb others or disrupt the examination environment.
Invigilators have the right to warn students suspected of attempting to cheat. However, they are not obliged to warn those who are caught cheating or assisting in cheating. To avoid distracting other students and wasting time, invigilators may, if deemed necessary, take direct action against students exhibiting misconduct without giving a prior warning. Students must ensure that their answer sheets are not visible to others to prevent cheating.
If a student is subject to a disciplinary investigation due to allegations of cheating, attempting to cheat, or committing fraud during the exam, and receives any penalty as a result, they will be awarded a grade of "0" for the related exam. Students who violate exam rules or fail to comply with warnings will be subject to an official report and a disciplinary investigation.
The course instructor is responsible for visiting the exam room and providing necessary explanations about the exam.
To prevent disruptions on the exam day, exam papers must be duplicated in advance. For exams held on weekends, photocopies must be prepared during the week.
The course instructor must specify the exam duration on the question paper.
Instructors assigned as invigilators should avoid one-on-one conversations with students unless absolutely necessary. If students have questions during the exam, they should be instructed to ask them in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear.
All students must sign the exam attendance sheet during the exam. At the end of the exam, the number of answer sheets must be matched with the attendance sheet. The attendance sheet must be signed by the exam invigilators.
Exam invigilators are responsible for maintaining strict exam order and security throughout the entire examination.
