The conference titled “The Psychological Roots of Addiction”, organized in cooperation with the Commission for Combating Addiction and the Ahde Vefa Student Community, was held on Wednesday, May 6, at 14:00 in the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Arslan Conference Hall.

At the event, where Asst. Prof. Hatun Sevgi Yalın participated as the speaker, the psychological foundations of addiction were discussed. During the conference, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding the processes leading individuals toward addiction, psychological factors, and different types of addiction. The importance of raising awareness and developing a conscious approach in combating addiction was also emphasized.

The conference, which was followed with great interest by the participants, continued with a question-and-answer session. Students had the opportunity to directly ask the speaker about topics they were curious about, and this interactive section added a valuable dimension to the event.
