The graduation ceremony was held at the Sezai Karakoç Cultural Center with the participation of BEUN Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, Zonguldak Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz, members of the senate, academic and administrative staff, students, and their families.

The program began with a moment of silence in memory of the martyrs and the recitation of the National Anthem, followed by a Qur’an recitation.

Emotional Farewell Speech from the Top Graduate

Speaking on behalf of all graduates, the faculty valedictorian Cemre Sağır delivered an emotional speech that deeply moved the audience. Expressing her joy at graduating from the Faculty of Theology, she emphasized that she continued her memorization (ḥifz) journey during her studies, made possible by the faculty’s support.

She also highlighted the importance of family prayers and support in their success, and expressed gratitude to the university administration and faculty members.

Vice Dean Akın: “Our Faculty Continues to Grow Stronger”

Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Murat Akın noted that the Faculty of Theology has achieved significant progress in education, research, and social contribution. He emphasized that students are trained not only academically but also with a strong sense of moral responsibility. He also thanked Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer for his continuous support.

Rector Özölçer: “You Are the Hope of Humanity”

Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer addressed the graduates, stating that the university continues to educate students who will shape the future of Turkey in various disciplines. He described the graduates as “the hope of the nation, the Islamic world, and humanity,” encouraging them to serve knowledge for the benefit of society and to be representatives of goodness wherever they go.

Academic Achievement Immortalized in the Honor Board

Following the speeches, top graduate Cemre Sağır placed a plaque bearing her name on the faculty honor board, marking her achievement in the university’s history. Awards were presented to the top three students of the faculty.

Graduation Joy with Cap Tossing Ceremony

Graduation diplomas were symbolically presented to students by faculty members. The graduation oath was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Soylu. The ceremony concluded with students joyfully throwing their caps into the air, sharing the moment with their families and lecturers, leaving behind unforgettable memories.
