An orientation program was organized on September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Arslan Conference Hall to facilitate the adaptation of students newly enrolled in the Arabic Preparatory Class at our Faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year to university and faculty life. Our Dean, Vice Deans, academic staff, and preparatory class students attended the program.
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a comprehensive orientation presentation for the students. In the presentation, general information about our University and Faculty was provided, along with information about the administrative staff, information technology and communication services, cafeteria and health services, library use, scholarships, and academic and social opportunities. Students were also informed about student communities, ÜNİDES and TÜBİTAK projects, coordination units, Erasmus+, the social transcript, and the academic advising system.
The presentation also covered the structure and operation of the preparatory class, the relevant regulations, the academic calendar, and the preparatory class protocol. In addition, the potential risks associated with online gambling and renting out IBAN accounts were discussed, along with the importance of mutual respect and a culture of coexistence in university life.
Following the orientation presentation and introduction to the Faculty, our Dean delivered an opening speech addressing the new students. The first lecture of the 2026–2027 academic year was then delivered by our Dean.
The orientation program aimed to enable our students to become better acquainted with our Faculty and academic staff, begin their preparatory education with greater awareness, and make effective use of the academic, social, and administrative opportunities provided by the University.
