The Hifz Ijazah Ceremony, organized by the Zonguldak Provincial Mufti’s Office for students who successfully completed their Qur’an memorization training and passed the Hifz Certification Examination, was held on 18 June 2026 with broad participation.

The program was attended by Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu and his spouse Güney Hacıbektaşoğlu, Deputy President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet İshak Demir, Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir, Vice Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Server Karasu, Vice Deans of our Faculty, members of the provincial protocol, students, parents, and a large number of citizens.

In his speech, Provincial Mufti İbrahim Halil Demir emphasized that memorizing the Qur’an is not limited to committing it to memory, but also requires understanding, practicing, and preserving it. He congratulated the students, their families, and the teachers who contributed to the educational process.

Deputy President of the Presidency of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmet İshak Demir addressed the students, stressing that memorization of the Qur’an is a lifelong responsibility. He advised students not only to preserve their memorization but also to continue studying the meanings of the Qur’an and to reflect its message in their lives. He also expressed gratitude to the families and Qur’an instructors involved in their education.

Governor Osman Hacıbektaşoğlu also congratulated the students, their families, and their instructors, wishing them continued success.

Among the 42 female students who completed their memorization at the ceremony organized by the Zonguldak Provincial Mufti’s Office, 7 students from our Faculty, who simultaneously continue their undergraduate studies within the Faculty’s Hifz Program, also received their certificates. Their successful completion of both higher education and Qur’an memorization stands out as an important indicator of the Faculty’s qualified religious education approach.

Through the Undergraduate–Hifz Program implemented in our Faculty, students are able to pursue both academic education and Qur’an-centered studies simultaneously, thus being trained as individuals who are both professionally and spiritually well-equipped.

We congratulate our students, their families, instructors, and all stakeholders who contributed to this meaningful achievement, and we wish continued success to our students who received their Hifz certificates in their future academic and professional lives.
