The “Palestine Dictionary” Has Been Published and Met with Readers

The “Palestine Dictionary”, which aims to serve as a comprehensive reference work on the Palestinian issue at a global scale, has been completed after two years of intensive work and has been published for readers. With a substantial volume of 1,860 pages, this valuable work systematically brings together information on Palestine ranging from historical events to legal concepts.

Significant Contribution from the Faculty

The work, prepared with contributions from 273 academics and researchers from various disciplines, also includes a notable contribution from our faculty. Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ufuk Dağlıoğlu from our Faculty authored the entry titled “Sufyan Tayeh”, thus becoming part of this international academic collaboration.

Multilingual and User-Friendly Academic Structure

The dictionary addresses fundamental concepts, historical turning points, significant figures, and current debates related to the Palestinian issue in a systematic manner, aiming to build a global academic literature. Accordingly, Arabic, English, French, and German equivalents of the included terms are also provided.

Containing 630 entries and over 700 cross-references, the book offers a highly user-friendly structure with reading guides, inter-entry connections, and suggested readings, making it suitable for both general readers and researchers.

Proceeds to Be Donated to Palestine

Beyond its academic value, the work also carries a humanitarian mission, as it has been decided that all proceeds from its sales will be directly donated to Palestine.

On behalf of our Faculty, we congratulate our esteemed academic, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ufuk Dağlıoğlu, and all researchers involved in this significant contribution to the academic world and the memory of Palestine, and we wish them continued success.
