The Program for the Celebration of the International Arabic Language Day was Successfully Conducted on December 18th!

On December 18, within the scope of the World Arabic Language Day activities, students at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Theology conducted an event at 14:00 in the conference hall of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Arslan. Arabic, recognized as an official language by the United Nations in 2012, has been celebrated annually as part of World Arabic Language Day activities since that year, marking a cultural event on various occasions.

In this context, our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı ÖZÖLÇER, emphasized the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the Arabic language in the context of religious, literary, and ethical teachings. They expressed the contribution of Arabic to culture and civilization. Similarly, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Seyfullah KARA, emphasized the importance of learning languages and presented various examples from Islamic culture and civilization. They also highlighted the significant impact of learning the Arabic language on Islamic sciences within the context of the branches and disciplines studied by theology students.

During the event, our students paid tribute and, following the national anthem, engaged in activities such as Quran recitation, theatrical performances, and poetry recitations, as well as presentations on the Erasmus Exchange Program's experience in Jordan and a sample grammar lesson
